Empowering Veterinary Professionals: MAVNA and Ritma Prestasi’s Workshop on Fecal Parasite Diagnosis

We’re thrilled to share the highlights from a truly enriching workshop co-organized by MAVNA (Malaysian Association of Veterinary Nurse and Assistants) and Ritma Prestasi, focusing on the diagnosis of fecal parasites in dogs and cats. This workshop served as a unique platform to equip paraprofessionals in the veterinary field with the skills and practical knowledge needed to enhance their diagnostic capabilities in real-life clinical scenarios.

The event provided participants with an immersive learning experience, emphasizing both theory and practice. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in hands-on lab work, examining and identifying coccidia and various parasite ova under the guidance of expert facilitators. This practical approach not only sharpened their technical skills but also boosted their confidence in applying these diagnostic techniques in their everyday work.

The workshop's interactive sessions sparked meaningful discussions, allowing participants to share insights, ask questions, and learn from one another. These conversations fostered a collaborative learning environment, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and continuous education in advancing the veterinary profession.

We owe a special thanks to Elanco, whose generous sponsorship made this event possible. Elanco’s commitment to advancing animal health and supporting the veterinary community is truly commendable. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI) for providing us with state-of-the-art facilities and a conducive venue that ensured the success of this workshop.

Workshops like these embody Ritma Prestasi’s mission to empower veterinary professionals and paraprofessionals by providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and excel in their fields. We firmly believe that investing in knowledge and skills is the key to improving animal healthcare standards and delivering the best outcomes for pets and their owners.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this valuable initiative and look forward to organizing more educational events that contribute to the growth of the veterinary community. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this workshop an unforgettable experience!

Here’s to building a stronger, more skilled veterinary workforce and continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and the people who care for them.
